International Balkan University is located in Skopje, in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula at the crossroad of vital communications. Alongside with its numerous scholarship and 100% English language education opportunities and internationally experienced academic staff, with fully equipped new campus and more than 150 international agreements, IBU offers to its student's education possibilities in Europe and prepares them for a prosperous career.
With 7 faculties, more than 40 bachelor, masters, and doctoral programs and its English Language School, International Balkan University embarks on innovative and contemporary approaches in education based on universal values.
The mission of International Balkan University is to bring up knowledgeable and competitive individuals and leaders of the future in a challenging environment of the global world that will contribute to world peace through proactive application of their acquired knowledge in their prosperous careers and personal commitment in creating new benefits for the welfare of mankind.
In addition to its high qualitative education, International Balkan University is renowned with its tremendous successful practice of Erasmus+ and Mevlana Student and Staff exchange programs in North Macedonia. In this framework, IBU offers its students and staff international education experience in around 40 countries of the world.
An added value to the quality of our education is the fact that International Balkan University is a double-accredited institution, both by the Board of Accreditation of North Macedonia and the Council for Higher Education of Turkey. The legacy for quality as the foremost identity of our university saw IBU ranked as the best university in North Macedonia in the field of teaching and learning by the world-known Shanghai University Ranking in 2016.
International Balkan University has been transformed into a real scientific center by organizing and hosting various congresses, symposia, and conferences every year. Along with its academic excellence, IBU is familiarized with many cultural and social activities like art exhibitions, sports tournaments, spring festivals, and social responsibility campaigns.
